Chipotle en adobo sauce is a versatile and flavorful Mexican sauce made from chipotle peppers that have been dried, smoked, and then rehydrated in a tangy and spicy adobo sauce.
Flavor: Chipotle en adobo sauce has a rich, smoky, and slightly sweet flavor with a medium level of spiciness. The smokiness comes from the drying and smoking process of the chipotle peppers, while the adobo sauce adds tanginess and depth to the overall flavor profile.
Heat Level: Chipotle en adobo sauce typically has a moderate heat level. The heat can vary depending on the specific brand or homemade recipe, as some may include additional spices or peppers to increase the spiciness. The heat is balanced by the smoky and sweet flavors of the sauce.
