This spicy tuna tartare delivers sushi quality and flavor without leaving the house. Sashimi grade tuna is coated in a mix of spicy sriracha sauce, soy sauce, lime juice and nutty sesame oil along with fresh green onions and sesame seeds to create a burst of Asian flavors in every bite.

Each vacuum-sealed portion will weigh approximately 6-8oz. 1 portion of Sizzlefish sashimi grade tuna is the perfect amount to create two tuna tartare stacks. Aim for a portion that is 7-8 ounces for this recipe. To thaw out, simply place the tuna and its packaging into a cold bowl of water for 30 minutes or until thawed in the center.

The avocado layer is a mix of chopped avocado, cilantro, lime juice and sesame oil for a creamy layer that balances the spicy tuna.
How To Make The Tartare Stacks!
To create these compact tartare stacks, a 1 cup ramekin or measuring cup can be used to gently but firmly press the tuna and avocado layers. You can also use a food ring mold. After layers are pressed into the ramekin, flip over using a plate and jiggle. The ramekin to release the tartare. Serve within 1 hour for the best flavor and texture.
Ingredients

1 (7-8 oz.) Portion Sizzlefish Sashimi Grade Ahi Tuna
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Sriracha Sauce
1 tsp Lime Juice
1 tsp toasted Sesame Oil
1 tbsp minced Green Onion
2 tsp Black and White Sesame Seeds
2 medium Avocados
1 tbsp chopped Cilantro
1 tsp Lime Juice
1 tsp toasted Sesame Oil
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Cracked Pepper
For Tuna Layer
For Avocado Layer
Directions
Stir together soy sauce, sriracha, lime juice, sesame oil, green onion and sesame seeds in a small bowl.
Slice tuna into 1/2-inch cubes and place into marinade. Stir to coat. Refrigerate while preparing avocado layer.
Chop avocado into small pieces and place in a small bowl. Add cilantro, lime juice, sesame oil, salt and pepper. Gently stir to coat.
Lightly grease inside of 2 ramekins with a neutral oil or sesame oil. Scoop tuna mixture into each ramekin and press into ramekin with back of spoon.
Divide avocado on top of tuna layer and press to adhere to tuna layer and sides of ramekin. Use a small plate to flip each ramekin upside down and release from ramekin.
Serve with wonton chips, tortilla chips, or sliced vegetables.
